Dice Holdings, Inc. has an immediate need for a Marketing Manager, Customer Acquisition, in the Urbandale, Iowa office. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining a customer-focused marketing strategy by implementing projects related to customer acquisition as directed by Marketing Director and reporting on progress to project goals.
Essential Functions:
- Accountable for the strategic and hands-on management of large account marketing and special projects, with heavy emphasis on writing, for five brands.
- Organization, coordination, and execution of specific marketing projects and initiatives related to large accounts (national accounts sold by any sales channel).
- Write sales collateral, PowerPoint content, emails and direct mail content, introduction letters, webinar scripts, presentation scripts, presentation follow-up letters, video scripts, online/website blurbs, etc.
- Work with a graphic designer to design sales support pieces according to pre-approved branding guidelines.
- Extract pertinent data from internal and external sources and uses it to benefit marketing efforts for individual accounts, contacts and reps.
- Is a subject matter expert and able to address the specific needs of large accounts by segment, by individual account, and often by individual contact, with the ability to anticipate their needs and the needs of the different sales channels and individual salespeople working to sell, renew or retain them.
- Place articles/blurbs/other content related to large accounts on social media sites where HR managers and recruiters with large accounts go.
- Travel as necessary to become immersed in the large account experience and the needs of the sales reps calling on these large accounts. Travel at the request of the VP of Sales - as necessary - to win, renew or retain large accounts.
- Meet regularly and proactively with the executives and managers responsible for each sales channel. Works to develop a close, trusting bond based on solid marketing performance with large accounts.
- Keep current on marketing trends – especially those related to large accounts. Knows what research is available on the Internet; attends seminars, webinars and classes, and reads books/reports/analyses as necessary to continually look for new opportunities to learn more about large accounts and how to market most effectively to them.
- Set implementation schedule for projects, including start date, status reporting date, and completion date. Coordinate with all appropriate individuals, departments and vendors as necessary to achieve objectives.
- Provide written status reports on project progress to director and other relevant company personnel. Proactively communicate project status to all concerned parties.
- Identify barriers to project completion and brings these to supervisor’s attention.
- Act as liaison between Marketing and other company departments
- Regular attendance: Normal business hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. but position may require longer hours for extended periods of time

- Responsible for working with marketing and sales channel members, as well as other departments and vendors, in a goal-oriented, non-political manner.
- Perform duties of subordinate staff when necessary.
- Perform other job-related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Marketing or related field and/or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 8 years B2B marketing experience with online expertise.
- Strong writing expertise.
- Strong creative and design expertise.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to manage internal and external resources including ad agency, freelance writers, designers and other vendors from a strategic and tactical perspective.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Positive, energetic attitude fundamental in leading prospect and customer-focused initiatives.
- Previous experience in B2B Fortune 1000 sales a plus.
