We are looking for an exceptionally intelligent, talented and enthusiastic Web Developer to guide our team*s suite of content-rich online properties from concept to production. This person will take ideas and mock ups, turn them into reality, and engage in managing the sites' technical and business performance. This position will work closely with Business Managers to innovate and create web content applications and widgets.

The major responsibilities of the Web Developer will be: - Design, develop, and debug web applications using the latest optimization techniques - Using creativity to innovate new products to enhance web user experience - Keeping up with new Internet standards and web technologies (Web 2.0, AJAX, Ruby on Rails, etc.)

Technical Requirements ________________________________________ The ideal candidate will have:

- Professional web application development experience in building database-driven applications and web sites - Expertise in working with Microsoft.net, Classic ASP and SQL Server development technologies, including Visual Studio, IIS, and Windows Server. - Proficiency with front-end scripting including: HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX - Hands-on experience with web application architecture and relational database design - Recent knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) and marketing (SEM) - Exposure to other server-side scripting languages such as JSP, PHP - Exposure to Java - Understanding and demonstrated adaptation of cross-platform, cross-browser compatibility concerns - Experience interfacing with design applications such as PhotoShop, Fireworks or Adobe Studio - An understanding of statistics and metrics and their applications

- A natural curiosity, an understanding of metrics and measurement, and an interest in the business side of web site performance - 3+ years professional Web development experience - BS/BA in CS, EE, or equivalent education experience - Strong presentation, communication, and collaboration skills, enabling effective interaction and knowledge transfer to teammates and other departments within the company - A high task load is expected.
