The team is responsible for developing our brokerage-customer database, middle-tier servers, and related internal web applications.  Our software will  provide customers with the means to apply for a brokerage account and to manage an existing account.  It will also support a browser-based application that is made available internally to provide customer-related functions required by our compliance, customer service, cashiering, audit, and operations groups.  The team also provides systems that publish customer account configuration information in real-time to the brokerage order-entry system and the market data delivery system. This position will be critical to the growth of our brokerage business model and our customer base. It is also an opportunity to develop a broad understanding of both brokerage activities as well as to extend expertise in developing large-scale and real-time database systems. 

Duties for this position will include the design, development, and support of Oracle database schemas, PL/SQL packages, scheduled batch processing,
and Java applications, servers, and web applications. 

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or Science
• At least three years of professional programming experience.
• Strong fundamental knowledge of SQL and relational database designStrong object oriented programming experience in Java
• Strong modeling skills
• Strong experience with best software development practices
• Proven day-to-day programming ability
• Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communications
• Experience with Unix/Linux development 
• Experience with PL/SQL and other Oracle technologies
