- SharePoint Developer Consultant
- St. Louis, MO
This position requires the ability to customize the KnowledgeLake software to meet a customer’s specific business needs; providing technical training for a customer’s IT staff; provide support during the testing and deployment phases of a project. This position requires the ability to implement a project from analysis to completion with little assistance from a project manager.
As a Developer Consultant should have knowledge or experience in the following areas:
- Solid knowledge of development using .NET
- Experience developing .NET Web Services
- Good problem solving skills
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience developing against Microsoft SQL Server 2000
- An understanding of XML data structures
Beneficial SharePoint Skills:
- Experience designing and implementing WSS 3.0 and MOSS portal solutions
- Understanding of the WSS 3.0 and MOSS search architecture
- Experience developing with the SharePoint SDK
- Experience with WSS 2.0 and SharePoint Portal Server (v2) also beneficial
Beneficial Technical Skills:
- BA/BS degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
- ASP .NET Server Controls
- Experience conducting detail design and architectural design sessions
- Microsoft Information Worker technologies such as InfoPath and BizTalk
- Experience with document management or document imaging technologies
- MCAD/MSCD certification
A SharePoint Developer Consultant has the following responsibilities:
- Verify client’s infrastructure is configured properly so the KnowledgeLake software will function properly in the client’s environment
- Perform the installation and configuration of the KnowledgeLake software product suite at the customer site
- Troubleshoot installation and configuration issues with the KnowledgeLake software in client environment
- Coordinate with KL Technical Support to resolve issues for clients and partners
- Performs a transfer of information with the client for the KnowledgeLake products
- Design and develop advanced customized solutions using the KnowledgeLake SDK’s
- Develop system and application documentation for a client
- Ability to demonstrate good problem solving and business analysis skills
- Ability to install SharePoint and SQL Server
- Provide consulting services to a client regarding the client’s infrastructure, advanced SharePoint configuration, KnowledgeLake product installation, customizations using KnowledgeLake SDK’s and customized applications using 3rd party tools or non-KnowledgeLake software
- Ability to be the Technical Lead on a small project, providing technical assistance and guidance to junior team members
- Ability to deliver a simple project (with custom development) from analysis to implementation with little assistance from the Project Manager
