SENIOR PROGRAMMER/ANALYST


Davisco Foods International, Inc. has an opening for a senior programmer/analyst in our LeSueur, MN Office. This position provides application development to support a wide variety of needs for the business including inventory control, production reporting and labeling, and shipment and order fulfillment planning and control.

Responsibilities:

* Oversee development efforts to insure that standard programming practices are being followed.
* Oversee development efforts to insure that technical specifications meet business requirements across the various business units.
* Conduct needs-assessments and create functional specifications.
* Make hardware and/or software purchasing recommendations regarding application development.
* Develop new and maintain existing internal applications; perform testing and troubleshooting to insure applications function as required.
* Review, develop, and design data models using standard diagramming techniques; create logical data models and translate into physical database structures.
* All other duties as assigned.

Skills/Background:

* BS/BA * 4 year college degree and 3 to 5 years experience in programming and project management.
* Working knowledge of and experience working with MS Visual Basic 6.0/.Net Framework.
* Working knowledge of and experience working with HTML and related web development tools.
* Working knowledge of and experience working with MS SQL Server 2005, Transact SQL, and database design.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft 2003/2008 Server, IIS, Component Services, and other related server administration tools.
* Excellent Communication Skills
