Our Position: Director of Quality Engineering
This Director of Quality Engineering opening will require technical architecture skills, in-depth Quality Engineering & Assurance process knowledge, strong background with test automation, and proven Failure Mode Effects Analysis capabilities. This position will manage Quality Engineering resources that provide direct support to Product Development/R&D and Solution Delivery teams. This position will also interact with clients and potentially spend time on client sites.

- Responsible for the quality of Covisint External Engagement Platform and its components
- Recruit, manage, mentor, and develop a talented high performing team of in house and out sourced technical Quality Engineers (developers and dedicated testers)
- Provide leadership and technical guidance to the QE team, while instilling creativity, accountability, and teamwork
- Accountable for the overall design and implementations of testing strategies and tools
- Lead the QE team in developing and implementing strategies, plans, and test automation that cover various product areas and/or industry verticals
- Defining and implementing test automation framework
- Reviewing testing infrastructure, tools, and data to ensure proper validation of code
- Provide quality strategy and testing efforts for projects
- Work closely with Product Development/R&D and Solution Delivery teams to prioritize assignments and manage risks/issues to ensure successful delivery
- Utilize continuous integration and delivery concepts within the quality strategy to ensure quality code delivery to production
- Assessing and communicating risks based on product complexity, resource, and/or timeline constraints
- Act as a process leader for all QE/QA/QC methods, processes, and tools
- Implement application performance assurance through techniques such as: performance profiling, performance testing, and load testing standards
- Implement defect prevention processes to drive value upstream, and future projects
- Execute standards, methods, and procedures to determine product release readiness
- Participate in design reviews to provide input on requirements, designs, schedules, and to help identify/resolve potential issues
- Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, completeness, and to mitigate risks
- 5+ years of experience in managing Quality Engineering teams
