PCB Engineering Checker/Layout Designer

Responsible for Printed Circuit Board and Flex engineering design package reviews, manufacturing process specifications, PCB material selection and vendor support. Verification of compliance with applicagble IPC manufacturing standards for all engineering drawing specifcations, layer stack-ups, master patterns, soldermasks, silkscreens, BOMs, library symbol's footprint and generating applicable manufacturing notes. Candiate also resolves PCB vendor questions pertaining to the engineering fabrication package and manufacturability of the designs.

Additional duties include:

generation of documentation for Engineering Change Notices, incorporating changes using Cadence Concept/Allegro tools, releasing final documentation into TeamCenter and implementing layouts.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Engineering Technology or other associated discipline. Cadence Concept schematic and Allegro Layout experience. Extensive knowledgeof JEDEC standards and military / IPC manufacturing standards. Knowledge of all facets of PWB design, Flex design, documentation packages and PCB manufacturing. In depth understanding of CCA engineering manufacturing notes terminology. Manufacturing experience across technolgies including THT, SMT, ROHS, BGAs, high density and fine pitch. Extensive layout design experience using Cadence Concept and Allegro tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of design flow used with Cadence Concept and Allegro. Knowledge of military and IPC standards and specifications. Understanding of fabrication notes terminology. Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills. PCB manufacturing engineering background. RELOCATION NOT AVAILABLE
