CIBER is currently looking for 2 Software Developers in the development/maintenance of COBOL programs/reports. Currently MicroFocus COBOL Batch programs have been developed which interact with a centralized ORACLE RDBMS version 9.

The bulk of the Developer Roles will involve performing complex analysis, design, development and maintenance on various modules.
* Required is the ability to develop system documentation including program specifications and detailed design.
* The candidate(s) must be able to perform testing of modifications and enhancements to ensure system integrity.
* The ability to debug and resolve production problems using system development processes and standards is also a requirement.

Other abilities required include Personal Computer skills such as:
* Must have experience in the Creation and manipulation of batch Files, text files, various SQL and PLSQL coding and data entry files which generate batch processes.
* Most programming involves coding with imbedded Structured Query Language (SQL) which extracts data from an Oracle database.

These individuals must possess strong analytical skills and superior programming skills. The developer will work closely with department programmers, analysts and database administrators in the design of new modules.


Desired experience includes:
* Must then be capable of using detailed documentation including database, system design and program specifications and transforming the specifications into software modules.
* Must have knowledge of current software systems, tools, technologies and environment.
* The skills required are performing software quality testing to ensure program integrity and validation.
* The ability to debug and resolve problems using Software Quality Assurance processes and standards is also a must.
