Network Administrator

Yoh IT has an opening for a Network Administrator to join our customer in San Marcos, CA.

Job Duties:

* Under general supervision, the network administrator will ensure that the proper equipment, security procedures and processes are used to successfully provide the company with the necessary electronic and data tools.
* In addition, the network Administrator will ensure that the company is protected from computer viruses and will ensure that daily backups are performed in case of any disaster recovery operations.
* The network Administrator shall perform nightly backups that backs up data From all servers in addition to Production Floor Machines. A full backup Shall be run at least once a week and incremental backups may be run For the remainder of the week. Backups must be checked daily to ensure Successful completion.
* The Network Administrator will also ensure that the latest Virus Definitions are installed on all Servers and PC's within the company.
* The Network Administrator will check weekly to monitor that all PC's on the network are currently using the proper virus scanning software.
* In addition, email alerts will be setup and tested to notify the I.T. Department of any virus threats, deletions or occurrences.
* The Network Administrator, upon a valid alert, will ensure that the threat has been removed and provide a report to the I.T. Department as to the cause of the threat, how it was resolved, and any potential harm to the company's computer infrastructure.
* The Network Administrator will also monitor network performance of the the company's network switches, routers, and servers. Any degradation In the performance of the network will be reported to the IT Department.
* The Network Administrator will also provide support for the company's Employees along with the other members of the IT Department.
* Other job requirements may also be needed as directed by the head of the IT Department.

Job Requirements

* The Network Administrator should have 5 to 7 years experience serving in an I.T. Administrative role.
* In addition, the Network Administrator should possess a 4 year college degree and have an MCSE certification.
* The ability to work in a team environment is essential.
* Some travel is required.
