POSITION:
C++ Embedded Linux Systems Engineer

RESPONSIBILITY:
Design and implement solutions in C++ and scripting languages to solve a variety of complicated problems.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
Netpulse is looking for a C++ Linux Systems Engineer to work on our next generation internet touch screen product. This includes writing code in C/C++, evaluating and integrating hardware, resolving hardware and software interaction problems, and scripting to automate tasks. We are looking for a generalist that is open minded about technology and strives to implement the best solution regardless of the language. THE COMPANY:
Netpulse is a well-funded, innovative, San Francisco company which develops highly engaging multimedia software products that deliver multiple entertainment options to consumers while they workout on fitness equipment in gyms. The software delivers live digital HDTV, on-demand videos, music , iPod/iPhone connectivity and data services through a rich media UI on a touch screen. The Company recently closed a round of funding and is growing rapidly and working aggressively to meet critical timelines.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
* 5+ years experience coding C/C++ in low resource Linux environments.
* Experience writing software that interacts with hardware and devices.
* Considerable experience with networking at the application and OS level.
* Excellent work ethic and a team player.
* Comfortable multitasking, resolving competing priorities, and meeting project deadlines.
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills and of exceptional character.
* Decisive, action-oriented individual who learns quickly, works independently, and creates solutions.
* Experience working in a startup environment is extremely useful.

BONUS SKILLS:
* Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
* Experience with Qt
* Experience with HDTV, NTSC, ATSC
* Experience with MPEG2, MPEG3, flash internals, streaming video.
