Zions Bancorporation is now accepting resumes for our Information Security Engineer position in our Information Security Operations Department located in Houston, TX or West Valley City, UT. The ideal candidate for this position will have the skills and experience necessary to focus on network security areas including firewall policy provisioning, address translation configuration, remote access provisioning, and involvement with several other network security controls, infrastructure monitoring, updates, and configuration.

Responsibilities:

This position will provide support for primarily network security related controls. This includes:

Checkpoint Firewall policy provisioning
Nokia and UTM (SPLAT) based System updates and patches
First level troubleshooting and response
Conduct Firewall policy reviews for audit and rule reaccreditation
Periodic on-call and after hours responsibilities
Business and internal project work
VPN configurations and troubleshooting
Systems monitoring and response
Documenting of environment and processes
Web Proxy configuration and maintenance

Qualifications:

Bachelor's and 4+ years of directly related experience (Equivalent combination of experience and education may qualify)
Information Security experience with Checkpoint Firewalls, (Nokia and SPLAT based) (4+ years)
Working knowledge of Systems Security and Antivirus controls (McAfee a plus)
Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP,
Working knowledge of networking - switching, routing concepts and tools
System administration experience with Windows and UNIX systems
Excellent communication skills required
Comfortable with task planning and tracking
Proven problem solving and troubleshooting ability
Defense in depth strategies and how security devices are deployed
Experience with Provider 1 a plus,
Experience with Cisco ASA or PIX a plus
Experience with IPSEC based VPN systems a plus
Experience with RSA a plus
Experience in a larger corporate environment a plus
Experience with monitoring systems a plus
Experience with shell, Perl, Python, or Ruby scripting a plus
Checkpoint CCSA or CCSE a plus
