Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc., a leading developer, owner and operator of casino gaming resorts. The company, based in Las Vegas, owns and operates six major casinos in Nevada, Louisiana, Indiana and Missouri, as well as small casinos in Argentina.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Systems Engineer, Database will assist in defining multi-systems integration strategies and specify data integration requirements, work with the Systems Engineering Manager to refine the 'logical design' so that it can be translated into a specific data model; and further refine the 'physical design' to meet system processing and storage requirements. The person in this role will lead the definition of necessary data hardware platforms and database administration tools. In addition, this role includes evaluating all vendor systems for their database technology and strengths.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be at least 21 years of age.

2. Must be able to effectively communicate in English both orally and written.

3. Must possess a high school diploma and 6+ years of related IT experience OR a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Business and 4+ years of comparable IT work experience.

4. Proven experience implementing large-scale database solutions which demonstrate the use of Software Development Life-cycle (SDLC), business continuity, quality assurance, and version control techniques.

5. 2+ years experience in systems management and 1+ years experience in database administration.

6. Must hold a technical certification relevant to role or obtain one within 90 days of hire (e.g. MCSA, MCDBA, MCITP).

7. Strong understanding of enterprise backup and disaster recover configuration and management.
