Job Summary:
Responsible for electrical design in support of new product development initiatives for a wide variety of clients. Products and projects include firmware development, electrical enclosures and PCBs, robots and robotic work cells, industrial capital equipment, automation systems, and consumer products.

Essential Functions:
* Responsible for firmware architecture, implementation, troubleshoot, and test
* Responsible for component designs from initial layout through final drawings.
* Create electrical system documentation: schematics, wiring diagrams, bills of material
* Provide design/analysis of servo- and strpper-based electro-mechanical drives.
* Design power distribution systems for high tech capital equipment
* Supervise quick-turn PCB fabrication, tests, and evaluations.
* Interface with compliance laboratories * UL, NSF, CSA, FCC, CE, etc.
* Interface with suppliers and customers on designs and specifications as needed.
* Transition of prototype designs into manufacturing.

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:
* B.S. Electrical Engineering; MS a plus
* 5 years design experience in a high-tech design environment; wireless development experience a plus.
* Firmware design experience: C or C++
* Demonstrated skill with AutoCad and PCB design tools
* MS Office Suite Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
* PLC or LabView programming experience a plus.
* Ability to interface well with customers
* Hands-on, take charge attitude; electrical troubleshooting and vendor liaison
