PROJECT MANAGER
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION AND BASIC JOB DUTIES:
Drive a project from beginning to end with minimum supervision.
Facilitate scope definition of project with key stakeholders and team members.
Define and manage resource needs and project schedule.
Execute the plan; support the project from requirements through delivery and implementation at the client site.
Facilitate identification and management of change.
Identify and monitor risks to the project timeline and ensure risks and issues are communicated to team members, sponsors, and stakeholders.
Facilitate effective communication internally and externally, building productive working relationships, and engaging people in participative planning, and customizing the communication method for the individual and the situation.
Promote teamwork by encouraging involvement of all team members in discussions and facilitating problem solving sessions.
Report on status of project accurately including key issues, delays in timelines, and timely escalation to key stakeholders and sponsors. Enough information must be provided to allow the project sponsor and stakeholders transparency into the project.
Maintain focus on the customer throughout the project lifecycle to include effective communication and planning with the client.
Demonstrate personal leadership and ability to motivate and coach others.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience / Education
****Experience in Brokerage Industry(financial services) is REQUIRED to be considered for this position****
*Project management experience relevant to software development, implementing IT projects, or managing related custom software integration projects is required
* Proven track record of successful project completion of complex implementations, conversions and upgrades is required
* Experience in the financial services industry is required
* Must have practical experience working with various levels of management
* 2+ years of Account Management with exceptional and proven client facing skills
* Four year degree with a minimum of 4 to 6 years project management experience
* Experience with Microsoft Solutions Framework (MSF) methodology preferred
* PMP certification preferred
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and MS Project
