Experience in development using rules engines is a benefit. Specific experience with configuring Apache/JBoss is desirable. Additionally, experience performance profiling and tuning at the Java level is a good skill. Familiarity with CVS and Ant are required. The candidate should have worked in a managed source code environment and be able to describe his/her source code management methodologies. The candidate should have experience in working with some type of testing framework. Experience with JUnit is preferred. Understanding of and experience in test case driven development is a benefit.

The ideal candidate will be aggressive about deadlines and be the type of person that takes initiative to identify issues and resolve them proactively. He/She should be able to speak to concrete examples of these qualities from their experience. A philosophy of proactive communication is absolutely necessary.
