Sr. Software Engineer - HMI (Baggage Handling Systems)

We have an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled software engineer that is eager to work in an aggressive and highly productive environment. This position will be involved with developing and/or modifying and supporting Graphics/Visualization Human machine Interface (HMI) for our Baggage Handling System (BHS). The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with excellent team work and communication skills. This job may require extensive domestic travel and to work during night time during system commissioning.

Specific duties include the design, development, testing and commissioning of HMI systems used for automated airport baggage handling systems.

The basic job function includes, but is not limited to the following:

* Understanding customer requirements and working with the project engineer/customer to design and implement HMI system for baggage handling system. * Designing the HMI software system based on customer requirement and documenting the design. * Developing the HMI system. * Developing unit test plans and performing unit test. * Developing integration test plans and performing integration test. * Developing customer acceptance and commissioning plans and participating in customer testing. * Commissioning the BHS system at customer site and providing technical support

Required Skills: * Overall experience of seven years or more. * Minimum five years of experience in design and development of HMI using RSView or WinCC or equivalent software. * Minimum four years of experience in environments that used RSLinx, Simatic Net or other OPC servers. * Knowledge of deploying and troubleshooting HMI. * Working experience on configuration management using either Microsoft Visual SourceSafe or Subversion * Minimum one year of programming experience in Windows Environment using Visual Basic, C/C++ or SQL language * Minimum one year of scripting experience using VbScript, or similar. * Minimum three years of commissioning experience. * Commitment to work extended hours to meet demanding customer schedules. * Commitment to travel extensively. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. * Excellent written communication skills and be able to produce usable documentation.

Desirable Skills * Practical Programming experience with Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs. * Basic Networking concept, network switch configuration and trouble shooting. * Familiar with Windows Server 2003 OS architecture, and performance monitoring tool. * Familiar with SQL language and SQL Server 2000/2005/2008. * Computer programming experience is a big plus

Required Education/Experience: * Master Degree in Computer Science / Electrical Engineering with minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in HMI system design, development, and testing on MS Windows platform * OR * Bachelor Degree in Computer Science / Electrical Engineering with minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in HMI system design, development, and testing on MS Windows platform
