Ultimate Software currently has an opening in its Information Technology Group for an experienced Systems Engineer.
The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic Operations team responsible for maintaining and supporting our Hosted and Corporate Data Centers. Our environment is challenging and fast-paced. This position is demanding and plays an integral role to the success of our organization.
The Systems Engineer will be part of a busy team that maintains a very large (and growing) server farm that supports a thriving SaaS business. The team works with a large cross section of server, network, security, and storage systems.
The ideal candidate must be able to work closely with architects, engineers, vendors, and customer-facing teams to build and maintain highly available production environments. This includes being able to set up and clone systems that comply with our ISO, SAS70 and SOX requirements. A highly disciplined and methodical approach to all tasks is essential to the position.
Responsibilities:
* Manages very large server farms using OU's, GPO's and PowerShell scripts to drive server behavior
* Maintains server inventory and server profile systems
* Provides third level system support for Windows servers
* Performs server installs - racking, cabling, and configuration at local data centers
* Performs all duties in full compliance with Sas70, SOX and ISO 27001 protocols
* Problem resolution and server delivery activities are conducted within SLA targets
* Maintains data centers in a clean and professional manner
* Participates in on-call rotations
Requirements:
* Experience working in an enterprise environment of at least 500 servers
* At least 5 years of experience working with Windows servers
* Must be Microsoft Certified
* High level of expertise in Active Directory (AD 2008 preferred)
* High level of expertise ESX
* Highly experienced in supporting browser-based application platforms
* Must be able to lift 50 pounds
* Self-starter with a highly positive can-do attitude
* Detail-oriented, plans ahead, and checks work
* Passionate about doing a high quality job each and every time
* Service-oriented and believes that customer satisfaction is as important as technical know-how
* Team player and dislikes working alone
* BS in Computer Science or related experience.
Travel Requirement: Must be able to travel regularly between Miami, Weston, and Tamarac.
