We are looking for Software Developers that have a desire to work in a fast paced, agile work environment. If have knowledge of web applications, scripts, or apps using Open Source development languages such as Ruby, Ruby on Rails, Python and PHP, we want to talk to you. The position is out of our Jersey City or Somerset, NJ development centers, working with a team of experts in a variety of fields.
Requirements:
* Strong desire to learn new technologies.
* Knowledge of Open-Source and Object Oriented programming languages (Ruby, Python, PHP, Java, C++)
* Ability to learn or experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Bachelor's degree or work experience equivalent.
* Strong level of attention to detail.
* Ability to prioritize and manage a reasonable workload.
* Ability to document and to maintain historical legacy of work completed for projects.
The ideal candidate will have some of the following:
* Experience working in an agile environment.
* Experience with Behavior Driven (BDD) and Test Driven (TDD) development techniques.
* Development experiencing using APIs (REST, XMLRPC, SOAP).
* Development experience using MySQL or other SQL*like databases (MySQL, Sqlite, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
* Experience using source control systems such as SVN and Git.
* Experience in Networking (IP management, Cisco).
* Experience with technical writing and documentation.
