The role: Test Engineering Manager
As a Test Engineering Manager at Google you will be building, leading and managing a team of Software Engineers in Test and Test Engineers, while working with our development teams and product management staff to release scalable and innovative products. As a highly skilled technical engineering manager with a strong background in software engineering, you will be responsible for driving the overall planning, execution, tracking and delivery of critical projects.
Responsibilities:
* Create the next generation of testing tools, techniques, and infrastructure to increase the speed of release cycles and allow for constant high quality of web-based applications.
* Build and manage a Test Engineering team to meet the needs of products under development.
* Foster collaboration between different teams for successful releases.
* Mentor junior members of the team in software development, testing methods, and analysis.
Requirements:
* BSc degree preferred with a strong academic record (Msc or Ph.D a plus.)
* High technical competence with current hands on coding skills in C++, Java or Python being essential.
* Strong development management or testing management experience with a proven track record in scaling highly technical teams.
* Experience in building testing frameworks, tools and automation within a large scale enterprise environment.
* Strong project management skills including experience managing in an agile / test driven environment.
* Proven track record for high quality product delivery demonstrating your passion for technology.
* Deep knowledge of internet technologies, protocols and application delivery for web-based applications.
