* Evaluating new and existing systems for performance, interoperability, compatibility, and technical merit. The evaluations may be based on scientific/systems analysis, laboratory testing, and/or range/field testing.
* Evaluating and/or recommending specific uses for systems to protect the Warfighter.
* Identifying new techniques and/or methods which may be implemented in or on existing or new systems to enhance capabilities.
* Looking for and pursuing new opportunities in or out of current business pursuits.
What you will need:
* US citizen. Must have, or be able to obtain a security clearance
* Background in communications. We*re not, for example, looking for the individual who can design a cell phone. We*re looking for individuals who understand communications protocols * which in this example would mean the protocol which exists between the cell phone and the back end infrastructure.
* Some knowledge of RF. You should understand how a wave propagates under differing conditions. A working knowledge of some of the basic propagation models is a plus.
* You need to know how to develop and write a test plan based on your scientific evaluation of the system under test and its associated environment.
* Good communication skills. This is a highly charged environment where your technical findings may not be easily accepted. You will need to defend your technical position and recommendations.
* Take charge approach to tasks. You will be expected to take the ball and run with it to completion * whether a testing effort, system evaluation, or new business target. We*re not a big enough company for you to be able to pass the ball*.

* Travel (to test sites and working groups) will amount to 20-50%.
