Summary

Seeking a Senior Audio Engineer to create incredible fun and exciting gaming experiences for our players through the creation and innovative use of inspired audio sound effects and compositions uniquely designed for each game product. Provides support to and works alongside other engineers and game developers in a complete game Studio environment.

Duties

An individual with a hybrid set of skills that include music composition, sound effect design, and recording. Experience as audio professional required. Resume and CD should demonstrate audio and compositional skills. Website with demos acceptable.

Essential Duties AND Responsibilities:

* Takes initiative in leading projects, delegating responsibilities, and collaborating with others * May act as team mentor in a multi-person development team * Composes and creates original music using live players and industry standard digital and MIDI-based equipment * Records and creates original sound effects * Casts, directs, and records voice talent * Tests all aspects of implemented game audio to ensure playback is as intended and fit for release * Researches new sound technologies and incorporates them into the products

Training AND/OR Experience:

* Five or more years multimedia audio asset creation experience.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

* Familiar with industry standard computer-based composition and audio editing tools, samplers, and tone modules * Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously * Strong technical ability * Must be able to create appropriate original music in many different styles based on game design, as well as arrange existing compositions for both MIDI-based sequencing and live recording * Strong ability to create interesting and unusual sound effects appropriate for a gaming environment is a must * Comfortable directing voice talent, both in person and via phone patch * Ability to work quickly and make revisions to existing content with little lead time

Education:

Degree in music related studies, Audio engineering, or equivalent experience.
