Position Description:This is a development and engineering position for the remote access product within Morgan Stanley. This is a highly visible, mission critical product, that the entire employee body of Morgan Stanley uses to access their desktops, both virtual and physical, as well as virtual applications. The user entry points include office machines, home machines, laptops, as well as mobile tablets. The ideal candidate would be working with other developers and engineers of the product, contributing code and infrastructural enhancements. To be successful, the candidate should also be comfortable working with Operations, Product/Project Management, Quality Assurance teams, as well as with senior management, in defining, delivering and supporting the product.
Skills Required:- Extensive development experiences with JavaScript, CSS, HTML and Perl CGI.
- Strong web development experience outside the Content Management Systems, and outside the commonly available JavaScript frameworks (e.g., jQuery).
- Strong object oriented Perl development, having developed Perl modules, worked with mod_perl, and have written persistent services in Perl.
- Solid knowledge of Unix. Systems administration experience is useful.
- Experience with designing, planning, building, troubleshooting and maintaining highly available, mission critical, security minded, globally distributed architectures.
Skills Desired:- Understanding of the Apache HTTP server.
- Understanding of databases.
- Knowledge of the network protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, LDAP and RADIUS.
- Enterprise experience with Array Networks, Citrix Systems and RSA products.
- Inherent interest in emerging technologies; able to perceive technological trends, and apply them as necessary.
- Enterprise experience with Windows and OSX.
- Familiarity with mobile platforms, including the iOS and Android.
