The position is to test and evaluate the next generation flight planning system for our client. The position requires working closely with system engineers, architects and developers. Knowledge of airline dispatch flight planning is required. Test case development requires flight plans between points of departure and points of arrival utilizing different flight planning options, routes, profiles etc.. Flight plan results will then be analyzed and compared against the existing light planning engine output comparing routing, fuel burns etc. The tester reviews requirements and design materials and provides feedback to the project team. Evaluates process maturity across projects for requirements and design information and works with other disciplines to resolve issues. Reviews test materials for team members and provide feedback to improve application of the test discipline. Proactively identifies issues with scope, schedule, and budget and determines appropriate solution then works with project and functional management to implement the solution. 9-13 years experience in software test. Typically: BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical field. Advanced degree is expected.
