Mid-level User Interface Engineer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Translates static design layouts into dynamic web interfaces.
- Contributes to proposed project plans, reports and documents.
- Assists Senior UIE to define and refine requirements.
- Works with both the Creative Services and Technology teams to produce and deliver clean code.
- Creates single use and template-based web pages.
- Focuses on (but not be limited to) image optimization and coding of GUIs for websites and web-based applications.
- Other duties that are within education and experience may be assigned for the betterment of the company.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Understanding of user-centered design and the ability to turn prototypes into functional designs
- Understanding of and experience in user-centered design methodology.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
- Excellent writing and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to concept development and requirements specifications.
- Superb attention to detail
- Thorough knowledge of all or most of the following: CSS, HTML, DHTML, Javascript, XML and related software.
- In addition, knowledge of Flash, MySQL, PHP and XML would be a plus.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor**s Degree in Computer Science, User Centered Design, Visual Communication, Iterative Design or Related field from four-year college or university; and minimum 3+ years experience in web-based feature/site development.
