Responsible for configuration and management of the Company*s core and regional transport platform(s). This will include various technologies such as SONET, DWDM, CWDM, MPLS, Ethernet, IPv4, IPv6 etc.
Responsible for the installation, operation and maintenance of network equipment used for residential and commercial HSD ("High Speed Data"), VOD (*Video On Demand*) and Bresnan Digital Telephone service offerings.
Responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of methods, procedures and practices related to the Advanced Services infrastructure for HSD and VOD. This includes security, network monitoring, disaster recovery, testing, SONET, IP and VLAN management, network inventory, capacity planning, documentation, routing and various provisioning systems.
Responsible for assisting with testing and evaluation of networking products and services used in the Advances Services infrastructure.
Researches and recommends hardware and software products for purchasing and budgeting.
Performs other duties as assigned.
