Responsibilities * Run and Enhance Photovoltaic (PV) Solar Power Plant Performance Model Analyze and present results of models * Integrate plant performance, Time of Delivery (TOD), cost, O&M, and level cost of electricity models (LCOE) into a user friendly, organized, and continually updated application * PV System Design Field Layouts and Optimization System and Component Modeling * Maintain automated spreadsheet for project costs; leveraging off of data provided from projects built by GCL * Monitor data from operating plants to improve conceptual plant modeling * Manage, control, and process solar meteorological resource data sets Manage measured and modeled data sets for various project sites Perform statistical analysis of project site data: Solar Irradiance comparisons Min/Max/Average temperature analysis Max and Average Wind Speeds at sites Required Qualifications * BS/MS Engineering with knowledge and interest in the renewable power industry * 1-5 years solar industry experience * PVSYST experience * MS Excel spreadsheet skills * Strong communications and writing skills * Data reporting and presentation * Some programming capability * Strong organizational skills for data analysis and managing databases Beneficial Skills * Able to handle fast-paced, start-up environment with confident results in short time frames * Strong computing, networking and server experience * Capable of working with Visual Basic (VBA) in Excel and writing GUIs * Experience with AutoCAD 2009 * Knowledge of GIS and AutoCAD integration * Experience with creating and sharing data in Google Earth * Data analysis and statistics experience * Advanced Database Skills (MS Access, MySQL) * Data logger, data collection and instrumentation experience * Meteorological and weather knowledge * Experience with image editing software GCL Solar Energy, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
