• Cisco Engineer Needed

SkilGroup, Inc has an exciting direct hire career opportunity for a Road Warrior Cisco Engineer. Our client, based in the Northwest suburbs, needs a certified Cisco Engineer to work in technical support of clients, installations, network maintenance and monitoring, technical projects, and monitoring of a variety of client network services. Our ideal candidate will be passionate and driven in meeting their goals, and take real ownership of their responsibilities within the team. Required skills and experience for this position include:
* Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Computer Science
* 4+ years of Cisco IOS and hardware experience and familiarity with the following Cisco hardware:
Cisco access routers: 1700s, 1800s, 2800s
Cisco switches: 2950s, 2960s, 3500, and 3700
Cisco wireless access points: 1100s, and 1200s
* Proficiency in Cisco ACLs, IPSEC/VPNs, AAA configuration, Radius, Tacacs+, DNS, DHCP, T1, DSL
* General experience with Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems, including Win9x, WinNT, Win2000, WinXP
* Strong documentation skills and the ability to use Microsoft Visio
* Experience with Cisco SSG, BGP, Cisco Load Balancers, and Cisco ACS
* Cisco Certifications - CCNA/CCNP/CCDP
* Experience with Cisco and Juniper/Netscreen Firewall products
* Solar Winds Network management software and trouble ticket system experience
* Demonstrated troubleshooting skills
