We are proud to be partnered with a technology / software solutions organization in the Northwest suburbs in order to hire a Software Developer / Engineer. This full time permanent Software Developer / Engineer will associate with a team of engineers, testers, and project managers in a product development environment. The person who occupies this role will be working on specific network applications for this growing firm in the Telecom Industry.
Software Developer / Engineer position responsibilities:
- Work with a team lead / project manager on requirement gathering, software design and validation of code
- This person will work with a testing team to ensure the quality of application ensures future business with each client
- In a development capacity, this person will be working on code for applications that are able to run on a *4G* Network
- The work will take place in a *real time* production environment
Software Developer / Engineer position requirements:
- (2-5) years of experience in a C++ (Embedded C) development role
- Experience working with a team of (DSP) Engineers and an ability to work in a collaborative environment
- At least two years working in a Telecom environment
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- Previous project experience working with smart phones (i.e. Blackberry, Android or Microsoft Mobile)
- Prior hands on exposure working with Media HLR, Trans-coder or AAA
- Network programming in environments such as: CDMA 2000, GSM, 3G and / or 4G
- This position will entail writing new code, but also support and maintenance of existing applications
