Job Title: Senior Software Engineer I



Job Description:



Software developer needed for the Alpine program. Alpine is a classified program within the Ground Enterprise Solution (GES) Communication, Command and Control (C3) Business Unit.



Key responsibilities for the qualified candidate include:

- Software design activities and creating/maintaining artifacts using Rational Rose

- Implementation and thorough unit testing of C++ software

- Analysis, assessment, and workoff of discrepancy reports

- Perform/Support design reviews as necessary

- Provide weekly status (technical and schedule) for own task



Required Skills:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering-General, Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, or related technical major plus a minimum of 4 years object-oriented software development experience with C++

- Prior experience with all phases of the software development lifecycle

- Prior experience with Unix or Linux operating systems

- Proven strong written and verbal communication skills



- Must be a self-starter with ability to quickly understand assignments and carry them out with minimal supervision

- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI, SSBI security clearance



Desired Skills:

- Good working knowledge of Rational Tools such as ClearCase , Purify, PureCoverage

- Experience in creating DataViews HMIs

- Comfortable working directly with hardware

- Familiarity with ground terminal hardware and test equipment

- Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills



Required Education(including Major):

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Engineering-General, Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, or related technical major
