We are looking for an experienced Business Development/ Sales manager to join our US sales team. The successful candidate will lead the sales efforts to increase the market adoption of Intellect*s software products. We are seeking someone with a background in Shipping lines/Carriers/Agencies, NVOCC's, Freight forwarders or Logistics companies. The sales specialist will have in-depth, hands-on involvement in client/prospect presentations to articulate the value-proposition of our products as it relates to their specific transportation markets. With a unique skills set and experience, this person will be expected to help drive both sales pursuits and strategies. Responsibilities: * Develop and sustain effective new business relationships with clients in order to deliver commercial deals * Lead the Sales initiative for selling our product based solutions * Develop and execute sales plans * Identify and develop business opportunities in line with Intellect*s portfolio targets, meeting the necessary risk and profit requirements, so as to exceed business development targets * Demonstrate effective negotiation and closing techniques in securing profitable business * Develop relationships at the executive level with key accounts * Participate in sales calls and meetings to provide support for accounts as needed * Work with our technology and analytics teams in demonstrations during the sales cycle * Develop and manage sales opportunities from beginning to end including qualification, proposal, final selection, due diligence and closing
Qualifications:
* 4 - 8 years* experience with considerable, not necessarily sales, transportation industry experience and contacts. * Prior experience of selling transportation and supply chain software is a plus * Understand the competitive offering landscape and be able to show Intellect*s unique benefits * Experience as a team player with the ability to build collaborative and complex client relationships * Proven ability to identify and cultivate new business opportunities * Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. The person in this role will spend significant amounts of time working hands-on with customers. Verbal and presentation skills are critically important * Expert in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
