Premier quantitative hedge fund is seeking an experienced Data Center manager to supervise and maintain all of the firm’s data centers and global colocation sites.

Role Overview:

You will oversee a team of technicians with responsibilities ranging from data center design, build out, and capacity planning. 

You will be responsible for inventory management for servers, workstations, network switches, and routers, and collaborate with various teams in the physical management and upkeep of all equipment/hardware, and environmental monitoring.

Requirements:

• BS/MS from a top engineering program with a minimum GPA of 3.5/4.0


• At least 5 years experience with data centers of similar size and scope


• Experience with financial collocation sites is a plus but not required


• Will consider candidates with no financial experience


• Strong knowledge of IBM/HP servers, storage, EMC, Cisco, and Arista is required


• Strong logistical skills and communication skills


• Experience with inventory tracking and control


• Knowledge of UPS, PDU, CRAC, racks, power strips, and structured cabling (Cat6, SMF, MMF).


• Basic understanding of computer hardware, such as disks, power supplies and network switches.


• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel


• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
