As a electrical engineer team member, product development tasks would typically involve 8/16/32-bit embedded designs, FPGA/CPLD development, motion control development for serveo and stepper based 3 and 4 axis motion systems and analog and digital circuit-board layout. Working knowledge of Windows application development, and Windows driver development a plus.
Position Responsibilities:
* Design digital/analog circuitry to support product development efforts.
* Electronic prototype and product development.
* Experience developing digital electronics, firmware.
* Integrate designs into final product.
* Hands-on debug of designs from proof-of-concept through production.
* PC Board layout for prototyping and production.
* Maintain documentation on all designs including BOMS, schematics and specifications.
* Interface with production for continuous product improvement.
Qualifications:
* BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited University.
* Must demonstrate excellent conceptual and analytical skills.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Strong PC skills necessary.
* Experience with Eagle PCB layout software.
* 3-5 years minimum experience in a hands-on electrical engineering position including analog and digital design.
* Organized with ability to prioritize and track many projects and requirements.
* Desired Qualifications:
* Write software for microcontrollers.
* Direct experience designing motion control circuitry.
* Direct experience with 8/16/32-bit microcontrollers.
* Experience with C++/Visual C/Visual Studio.
* USB interface development.
