Successful candidates must have prior experience writing requirements and use cases, workflow documentation is essential, and developing user acceptance test plans * with demonstrable, in-depth experience on numerous projects from inception to successful launch (complete solutions/project lifecycle).
Senior Business Analysts are expected to demonstrate exceptional collaborative problem solving skills. This includes active listening; formulating and expressing desired outcomes, identifying underlying interests and developing and analyzing their consequences.
As this particular position will focus heavily on new business development, successful candidates must be flexible enough to grasp new platforms and paradigms very quickly, and should be prepared to think *out of the box* when necessary. While the Senior Business Analyst is required to possess experience with the software development life cycle, successful candidates must also be able to work effectively in non-structured R&D style environment. They must also be able to contribute constructive solutions in a collaborative, exploratory manner.
* This is a Senior level Business Analyst with a technical background and extremely strong analytical skills.
* This Sr BA will be responsible for creating the composite workflow and subsequent requirements . That means that they will talk to users across various departments within Ops, IT to define each department*s workflow and requirements and, more importantly, define where processes overlap to create the most efficient composite view of how they will manage content across its lifespan.
* BPM is a plus,
* Workflow experience is a big, big plus.
The ideal candidate is someone with strong workflow experience from a media or interactive or TV or broadcast space.
The successful candidate must also have:
* 3+ years of Web site / new media development experience.
* The ability to multi-task and be detailed oriented.
* Strong inter-personal and communication skills in order to interface with various departments and management levels, make presentations to an internal audience, and interact positively with upper management.
* Excellent customer focus and awareness of the importance of the customer in a service organization.
* Excellent problem solving skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of technical and non-technical staff.
* Experience in creating Documentation of technical systems, training users in complex topics, and operational procedures. (Must provide samples of original work products).
* Working knowledge or experience preferred, with formal data modeling, project management and application development methodologies.
* Proficiency with MS Project, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Visio.
* Prior application development experience is a plus, but not required.
* Strong attention to detail.
