Job Requirements

Background:

The Client has approved the proposal for the expansion of the strategic data center in Princeton, NJ. This proposal is aligned with the strategy to upgrade the US DC portfolio's capacity, resiliency and risk-levels. The initial phase of this facility expansion will add one 10,000 square foot data hall with 1.5 Mega-Watts of capacity. The project is underway and base designs are in the process of being modeled.

Project Description:

The contracted party will take the support role for all level 2 incidents, be responsible for analyzing Market Data Multicast issues and recommending subsequent fixes and plans of action. This contracted party will also be reporting to the Engineer assigned to the expansion project to aid in infrastructure design with the objective to ensure Low Latency and High Frequency for Market Data feeds and Order Entry connections to and from the exchanges.

* Serve as an expert on technical and business usage of market data products and services.

* Ensure that the contracted party is familiar with the environment and Strategic Plans for the second floor.

* Ensure that the contracted party has access to all tools and utilities to provide level 2 support services.

* Maintain and provide Engineering Level 2 support for all Market Data applications within all the environments utilizing existing protocol analyzer's such as Niksun and Corvils.

* Develop relationships with other IT groups to ensure all issues are addressed in an expedient and effective manner and that users are kept updated at all times.

* Ability to interact effectively with team members at all levels as well as with Market Data vendors.

* Ability to manage multiple task simultaneously.

* Ability to take ownership and be pro-active of issues when they arise.

* Level set skills should include an in depth knowledge of Multicast, Order Entry, Netscreen Firewalls, and Monitoring Appliances

Key Deliverables:

* Detailed design and documentation

* Detailed implementation plan

* Migration options with detailed cost analysis

* Design blue-prints as required by CTO


Duration:

The expected elapsed time duration for this project is as follows:


1. Data Hall Design

An elapsed time of no greater than 4 weeks from start of the engagement to sign off from the Governance Committee

2. Data Hall Implementation

An elapsed time of no greater than 11 weeks for design test and implementation

Client Responsibilities:

Upon the start of the engagement, The Client will:

* Provide The High Level Design guidelines

* Provide High level project milestones

* Provide documentation on existing network infrastructure

* Provide mid level engineering support from the FTE pool, for configuration and implementation tasks


Place of Performance:

The place of performance is in the New York/ New Jersey client offices. They are located in midtown Manhatten and Princeton.

It is expected that a significant amount of time will need to be spent in the Princeton site. Work may be performed off premises with the written consent of the client engagement manager. As a reminder, the contracted party will be under the full confidentiality non-disclosure agreement with the client.
