Scope:

-************* Perform installation, provisioning, troubleshooting, and decommissioning of managed disk-based backup services.

-************* Perform installation, provisioning, troubleshooting, and decommissioning of managed replication services.

-************* Perform installation, provisioning, troubleshooting, and decommissioning of managed operating system services.

-************* Provide customer implementation documentation.

-************* Dedication to providing world-class customer service.

-************* Act as Tier 2 escalation support to solve service problems related to managed replication services.

-************* Participate in SunGard's Change Control Board to ensure service standardization and adherence to SunGard's policies and procedures.

-************* Provide immediate escalation of critical client problems that may become serious service delivery issues or may be reported to executive management.

-************* Participate in multiple projects and shifting workloads

-************* Participate on projects providing technical expertise for the success of the project.

-************* Provide post-implementation support as needed.

Basic Function: The Systems Implementation Engineer (Disk-Based Backup/Replication) is responsible for the implementation and decommissioning of SunGard managed disk-based backup and replication services.

Position Responsibilities:

*************** Service Implementation

*

************** Perform disk-based backup services implementations to customer specifications.

************** Perform replication services implementations to customer specifications.

************** Perform operating system implementations to customer specifications.

************** Install and configure monitoring and management tools.

************** Work with project managers and other implementation teams to coordinate and troubleshoot any implementation issues.

************** Ensure complete and accurate documentation of customer environments.

*************** Service Decommission

*

************** Decommission disk-based backup services

************** Decommission replication services.

************** Decommission operating system services.

************** Decommission monitoring and management tools associated with the service.

************** Ensure documentation is updated.

*************** Process Development

************** Maintain existing documentation related to the services

************** Create new processes and procedures related to the implementation and decommissioning of the services.

Must Requirements (including any physical requirements):

*

************** College degree BA or BS in relevant field (Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Business) but will consider applications with equivalent work -related experience with a minimum education requirement of H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent

************** 5 - 8 years experience with Microsoft Windows Server operating systems including the following: Active directory,

Windows clusters, network configuration (such as 802.1q), IP addressing and routing, SAN connectivity,

basic scripting.

************** Experience with Windows Server installation, maintenance, and support.

************** Extensive problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

************** Excellent customer service skills.

************** Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

************** Excellent organizational and time management skills.

************** Ability to participate in off-hours and weekend support.

************** Ability to facilitate discussions to resolve technical issues with multiple teams.

************** Previous experience in an MSP or Web Hosting company.

************** Must possess strong interpersonal skills in order to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
