Hardware Systems Engineer

Yoh IT has a direct hire opening for a Hardware Systems Engineer to join our customer in Beavercreek, OH.

Job Duties:

* Our customer is seeking someone who can organize, plan, conduct and report on systems and software to improve the effectiveness of new and emerging security products and technologies. Identify security issues and potential attack vectors and recommend mitigation strategies to decrease vulnerabilities.
* Develop and execute test plans to verify the proper implementation of planned protections and conduct exploits to quantify the effectiveness of implementations and technologies.
* Develop and or review software and services from a security perspective and be able to recognize subtle security issues.
* Identify security vulnerabilities and risks and develop mitigation strategies
* Architect, design, implement, and support security focused tools and services including project leadership roles
* Evaluate new and emerging security products and technologies
* Develop tools to automate security testing procedures
* Plan, organize, and document security audits, risk analysis, application level vulnerability testing and security code reviews.

Job Requirements

* 5+ years experience in application-level vulnerability testing and code-level security auditing
* Strong experience and detailed technical knowledge in security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols and applied cryptography
* Must have experience with hardware hacking tools (logic analyzer, oscilloscope, device programmer)
* Experience with hardware emulators (American Arium, ECM-50)
* Proficient at reading hardware schematics
* Detailed knowledge of hardware-level security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques, including penetration testing and the development of exploits
* Experienced with x86 assembly language
* Experienced with reverse engineering tools (e.g. OllyDbg, SoftICE, IDAPRO, etc.)
* Substantial development experience in C, C++
* Strong scripting skills (e.g. PERL, shell scripting)
* Knowledge of network and web related protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP HTTPS, routing protocols)
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Education/Certifications: BS or higher in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with digital focus.
