We are seeking the best of the best pre-sales professional, with an established track record of application software sales success.
The Sales Engineer works in a team to create generic and custom demos that show the functionality, value and benefits of our software to support the sales process. The Senior Sales Engineers to build and present s/w demos and assist Account Executives in the sale of software to both prospective and existing clients. Because of the need to understand our future technology, the Sales Engineer also works with Product Management to understand upcoming new software features.
Responsibilities:
*Develops and leads the technical sales strategy for key opportunities
*Leads the development of complex and/or team based demonstrations and presentations
*Delivers expert level architecture presentations and value propositions
*Initiates ideas and drives content for the SE organization
*Must be willing to travel up to 50%
*Can stand in for Product Marketing to describe the product set and new products
*Mentors junior SEs
*Can participate or lead special cross-functional projects
*Strong oral and written communication skills
*Strong presentation skills
*Experience in selling to fortune 500 companies
*Experience in professional services role a plus
Qualifications:
*knowledge of rule based systems
*knowledge of J2EE, SQL, JDBC, XML, JSP
*knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, UDB/DB2
*knowledge of data modeling techniques
*knowledge of hardware sizing and selectionSome knowledge of Solaris, Windows, HP-UX, AIX
*knowledge of BEA Weblogic, IBM Websphere
*Bachelors degree
