This position will provide day-to-day operational support for windows servers. The Candidate must display a history of continually suggesting improvements to optimize existing and new processes. This is a 7x24 environment and must be able to join a 7x24 rotating on-call schedule.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities

Support WINDOWS based hardware, operating systems and third party applications in a transaction intensive, 7x24, domain.
Testing, documenting, and upgrading and patching existing servers with minimal down-time.
Administering general corporate windows infrastructure applications (Exchange, Active Directory*)
Assist in change management processes.
Improving the efficiency and help standardize current processes.
Responding to and resolving incident and problem tickets.
Documenting and thoroughly understanding the application architecture, system configuration across platforms and interface with various systems and use this knowledge effectively to resolve issues
Work closely with customer support team to communicate the root cause of the outage, duration and recommendations or steps to resolve issues.

Professional Experience

BA degree in Computer Science or related field plus 6-8 years of experience supporting WINDOWS systems in a large production environment, or equivalent.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service
* Ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent activities and meet timeframes and deliverables

Technical Experience
Experience with:

HP Windows Technology.
Supporting Exchange 2000/2003/2007.
SMS
Active directory and domain controllers
Configuration and management of application servers and Web servers
Web based application development/deployment problems
Network based protocols
Windows Security Issues
Microsoft Certified System Administration (MCSA)
Citrix Experience
VM experience a plus

Achieve and understand Service Level commitments for all open systems platforms
Must have a technical and business mindset
