eSignal, a division of, Interactive Data Corporation is seeking an experienced Java Web Developer to join our team in Lombard, IL!



The ideal candidate for this position will have knowledge of a variety of concepts, practices and procedures in development; possess a high degree of creativity and a strong talent for problem-solving.



The Web Developer will also be responsible for:

• Developing web applications based on user requirements, technical specifications, and architectural requirements;


• Building test plans to ensure code modifications do not result in failures of project specifications;


• Ensuring that deployed applications are properly maintained throughout their lifecycle;


• Using reliable build and deployment procedures for applications in a production environment spanning a large number of servers at multiple co-location facilities; and


• Evaluating new software and libraries for integration into future applications.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related filed required;


• 5+ years experience with Java and J2EE Servlet environment required;


• Strong knowledge of Web Technologies and Markup Languages (JSP, JSTL, XML, XHTML, JavaScript, AJAX and CSS) required;


• Strong knowledge of unit testing with JUnit, Mock Objects, version control systems, and build out tools required;


• Experience with Agile/XP, SCRUM and MVC framework (Struts, XWork) required;


• Excellent research, problem solving, interpersonal, communication, prioritization and organizational skills required; and


• Experience in financial services industry, developing 24x7 mission critical server applications, SQL, Oracle, Sprint, Hibernate, Unix-Linux are all pluses.
