Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
*Experience working in an IT healthcare preferably in a large acute care hospital or regional system is REQUIRED

Storage Engineer:
* Associates degree in computer science or related IT field, plus three years experience in IT operations, or four years experience in IT operations.
* Four years experience in storage administration, including at least three years experience as a storage administrator in an enterprise SAN environment.
* Strong experience in storage technologies and products from IBM and Brocade.
* Experience with storage provisioning and trending analysis.
* Experience in developing and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery practices.
* Experience in LTO and DLT tape drive and automated tape library technologies.
* Practical experience in Logical Volume Manager (LVM), NFS, CIFS and other OS related storage management.
* Experience in writing automation scripts with UNIX shells, VBSCRIPT, and PERL scripting languages.
* Practical experience in supporting IBM TSM enterprise backup solutions.
* Experience in troubleshooting backup issues on TSM servers and clients.

Storage Engineer Senior:
In addition to the above, the Storage Engineer Senior will have:
* Seven years experience in storage administration, including at least five years experience as a storage administrator in an enterprise SAN environment.
* Expert knowledge in supporting IBM TSM enterprise backup solutions.
* Strong knowledge of data replication technologies.
* SAN-related certification
* Excellent communication skills; customer focused; excellent attention to detail; able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines; strong interpersonal skills; able to work in a team environment.
* Technical documentation of code and procedures
* Current CA driver*s license required for local travel.



PREFERRED:
Storage Engineer:
* SAN-related certification
* Experience with other storage technologies such as EMC, HDS, Data De-Duplication, NAS, and VMWare
* Certification for business continuity and disaster recovery practices.

Storage Engineer Senior:
In addition to the above, the Storage Engineer Senior will have:
* Bachelor*s degree in computer science or related IT field.
* Experience with Linux, UNIX, and Windows system administration.
* Experience planning and leading small to medium scale storage related projects.

Job Description:
The Storage Engineer/Storage Engineer Senior provides the installation, maintenance, support and enhancements to the Hospital storage infrastructure. This position supports the functions which contribute to the continued operation of Hospital's Information Technologies (IT) department including storage provisioning, capacity planning, performance analysis, monitoring, and reporting.
