Summary: Reporting to the SQA Manager this position will be responsible for seeing test plan and test case development through to execution. The successful candidate will have practical knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies and their role in a fast paced development cycle. This position requires good attention to detail, ability to solve problems, and flexibility to handle multiple projects, tasks, and priorities. You will need to be involved in all phases of the SDLC; requirement analysis, test plan creation, detailed test case creation, test bed preparation, and test execution; logging bugs and preparing/presenting test results to SQA Manager and SW Manager.

Major Responsibilities:
* Reviewing Marketing Requirements, Software Requirement Specifications and
Software Design Documents for assigned Projects.
* Create Test Plans and Test Cases for each Project using above documents, discussions with developers, and brainstorming with SQA Manager.
* Creating Weekly Project Status Reports for the Development Manager.
* Test bed management and maintenance for ongoing test efforts.
* Execution of prepared Test Cases, documenting Test Results, and reporting bugs.

Qualifications:
* Familiarity with PHP, XML, Jpeg, and Image analysis.
* Experience with SW test automation.
* Familiarity with technical hardware and applications.
* Experience testing software applications for medical lab environments.
* Intermediate-level foosball ability :)

Requirements:
* 5+ years experience with test plan/case preparation, manual testing techniques (scripted and exploratory), and solid troubleshooting skills.
* 3+ years testing Windows and Web application software.
* 3+ years experience testing in Client/Server environment.
* 2+ years experience in test bed preparation and management using tools such as Drive Image, Acronis, and VMWARE.
* Experience with the following technical / product areas: networking, SQL Server databases, and Image applications.
* Proven communication skills with development and operations teams
during the testing cycle.
* Must be self-sufficient; able to work independently yet also handle direction well.
