Qualifications
The chosen candidate will understand the Cisco Routing and Switching environment with proven ability to bring up LAN /WAN data infrastructure at new locations under tight deadlines. Understanding and deployment experience of both LAN /WAN and Unified Communications would be considered a plus.
Candidate must be able to work under limited supervision, willing to work above 40 hour work week when necessary, and willing to travel to areas of CT, NY, and MA as needed. The individual must present a balance of technical knowledge, organizational skill and professional presentation.
The ideal candidate will have at least three (3) years experience working on formally structured LAN/WAN projects and at least one (1) year experience working with Cisco Unified Communications projects .
Candidate must be able to coordinate activities with other network engineers.
Candidate must possess the ability to take a project from inception to acceptance and work closely with project management to ensure adherence to the project deliverables.
Requirements:
*Experience in implementing Layer 2 and 3 data infrastructure (e.g. routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs)
*Ability to work in fast paced environments
*Extensive knowledge with Cisco Routers, Switches, and Firewalls
*Flexible and creative to adapt to environments where functional and business objectives evolve and change rapidly
*Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
*Strong customer service and written/verbal communication skills are essential.
Traning/Certifications:
*Should have BS and/or MS in Computer Sciences or related field
*Cisco CCNA minimum
*CCNP preferred
*CCSP or CCVP certification is a bonus
