We are currently in need of several Performance Test Engineers. The details are as follows:

The Performance Test Engineer is responsible for using test automation tools for tuning, base-lining and performance testing web base applications. The performance test engineer must be able to apply automation skills to a wide variety of application built using different architectures such as: SAP, Business web sites, etc. The performance test engineer will mentor on-loan technical resources so they can contribute to script writing and execution.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Test Automation
* Supports the goal that automated testing tools are intelligently applied in support of functional and performance testing activities.

* Creates automated test scripts that are well structured, data driven and well documented: developed on-time and address all key points of functionality and performance: and enable effective and efficient regression testing

* Design, code, test and execute LoadRunner scripts

* Uses automated QA tools (bug tracking, test case management, test execution * functional and performance) to enable efficient testing activities.

* Mentors team members in using test tools

* Configures and administers testing tools

Test Planning and Reporting
* Participates in the QA effort on major Corporate IT projects and initiatives. Works with Test Automation Engineer to define the scope and strategy of the project*s QA schedule, activities, and deliverables.

* Develops Detailed Test Plans that address all critical features and functions of a project. Test Plan should include purpose of testing, major activities and deliverables, and resource requirements. Detailed Test Case describes test steps.

* Coordinates the execution of test cases to verify and validate the correct functionality, usability, performance, and reliability of systems and applications. Reports testing status. Responsible for documenting defects and tracking them to resolution.

* May coordinate activities of testing components done by non-QA staff

Other responsibilities
* Configures and administers testing tools

* Performs regression / smoke testing to validate quality
