Volt Workforce Solutions is currently recruiting candidates for an exciting long-term opportunity based in the Orlando, FL Market.
Position Overview/Summary:
The Electrical Engineer will report to the Electrical Engineering Supervisor and will work as a member of a design team to deliver training systems from concept to production in the execution of various military programs.
The selected candidate will assist a team of Design Engineers in maturing and applying electrical technologies supporting multiple training systems. The candidate will support In-Service systems modification, providing Electrical Engineering Technical Support for laser-based training systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for:

The development, modification and evaluation of electronic parts, components and/or integrated circuitry for hardware and other systems.
Conducting experimental tests on equipment and evaluating results.
Developing specifications for electric components and equipment to use.
Assisting, as necessary, in the development of project specifications, as well as in the selection of components and required equipment.
Determining methods and procedures to be used on new assignments, and may serve in a lead role and provide guidance to Support Personnel.
Contributing to the development of the organization's goals and objectives.

This is a Contract to Direct Hire position, through Volt Workforce Solutions - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, based in Maitland, FL. We are among the largest staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated companies in the South and Southeast.

Requirements:

Successful Candidates will possess, at a minimum, the following background, skills and experience:
Required Education/Skills:

Must be capable of traveling up to 25% of the time
Must be self motivated, but also have the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined Design Team
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with five (5) years of general Electrical Engineering experience
Should be proficient with design of electrical components and capable of performing "hands on" testing of installed training systems on military systems
Must have excellent writing and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills:

Experience working with Software Engineers at the application and embedded level
Experience with military systems to include small arms and vehicle systems a plus
Knowledge of electronic components and their theory of operation and application within circuits
Expert in CAD/CAAE-schematic capture, circuit analysis, board layout/routing
Expert in Analog and Digital design, including power supply, microprocessor, and heavy on RF design a plus
Familiar with 810E,F,G methods and their application with regards to FAT/ENV testing
