Essential Job Description:

Responsible for conceptual, preliminary, and final product design. Work with Product Team to develop cost effective product design solutions. Support Manufacturing through new product assembly and sustaining efforts.

Experience/Qualifications:

* Bachelor*s degree required in Mechanical Engineering.
* 5+ years experience with new electro-mechanical product development is required.
* Experience with consumer electronics is highly desirable.
* Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, including, machining, molding, plating, casting processes and measurement tools/techniques. Identification of appropriate process and material selection for a given design
* Must be able to accurately estimate schedules for given tasks and assume responsibility of meeting fixed deadlines.

Skills Required:

* 4+ years experience with Solidworks CAD/CAE software (version 2008 or later); ANSYS Designspace or proven knowledge of stress analysis techniques is a plus.
* Working knowledge of hand tools for prototyping part fabrication and assembly
* Must be a self-starter with a decisive personality with excellent problem solving skills
* Ability to read and understand GD&T and mechanical drawings.
* Must be able to demonstrate successful design development and methodologies with proven results.
* Must be proficient with MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
* High caliber written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate in Mandarin is highly desirable.
* Basic understanding of electronics is a plus.
