This company seeks a senior web software engineer experienced in developing interactive and dynamic web sites. The senior web software engineer would be responsible for creating new and improving existing web sites in a high-load, high-availability environment. The role focuses on server-side engineering, while interfacing with front-end design teams to create company web sites.

Requirements:

Requirements: 8+ years programming experience, including experience with Java, and application development for the web.
Knowledge of web-related technologies (e.g. HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, HTTP)
Experience with clustered environments, federated databases, caching architectures, optimization, and running systems in a high-load environment Knowledge of SOAP and RESTful web services
Familiarity with payment processing and e-commerce systems
Experience in relational database design and SQL
Passion for games, especially products

Pluses: Familiar with common Java Web programming frameworks (e.g. Struts, Spring) Familiar with various view technologies (JSP, FreeMarker, XML/XSLT) Comfortable with Linux/UNIX, bash, Apache, and Tomcat
Experience with developing localized web sites/applications
Experience leading a small team and/or major projects.
