The senior software engineer will be responsible for systems design, construction, and maintenance of web based solutions. We are seeking highly motivated individuals that can function with little supervision, be apart of a team and will deliver high quality technical solutions. The candidate must also manage multiple assignments in an agile environment within budget and provide accurate level of work estimates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Participates in all aspects of software development including documentation, development, testing, and deployment; including translating functional specifications into technical design and code.
* Expert in object-oriented development, service-oriented architecture, and n-tier design and development.
* Participates in design meetings, code and peer review sessions.
* Mentoring of junior and mid level developer(s).
* Follows industry, company, and department standard practices for software engineering.
* Estimates task durations and log project hours.
* Provide feedback on project status, milestones, and risks.

ACTIVITIES:
* Provides architectural and design solutions to complex software requirements and defects.
* Identifies refactoring opportunities based on proven design patterns and enterprise architecture practices.
* Interacts with manager or leads from different functional areas to plan and support customers.
* Communicates effectively with supervisors, peers, project managers, and stakeholders.
* Participates in larger IT efforts to support organization through continuous improvement and new product development.
* Participates and coordinates troubleshooting activities to resolve production issues and escalates when necessary.


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor*s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
* 8+ years experience programming of multi-tier applications against Web technologies such as: C#, ADO.NET, ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML, XML, CSS, Web Services and AJAX.
* 8+ years experience working with MS SQL Server 2000/2005 - queries, stored procedures, views and data modeling.
* Excellent communication skills and a commitment to customer service.


Knowledge of the following is NOT required but will be treated as a plus:
* Microsoft Certification.
* Database performance tuning.
* Familiarity with the software development lifecycle tools such as source control, Rational, Project, Visual Studio Team Edition and Team Foundation Server.
