Job Title: CI-Build Configuration Engineer Location: Charleston, SC Position Type: Full-time/Permanent SPARC, LLC is seeking qualified candidates for a CI-Build Configuration Engineer position in the Charleston, SC area. This individual will be responsible for the following tasks: Perform Build Engineer duties in a Continuous Deployment environment in support of web-enabled Java applications to ensure that the correct software products are deployed to multiple demonstration, integration, and test environments in a reliable and repeatable manner. Initiate opportunities to automate all aspects of the deployment pipeline: build, the invocation of various tools for code coverage, static analysis, unit and acceptance testing and deployment. Monitor and support on a day-to-day basis the development environment, to include troubleshooting user workspace issues, triaging build issues and general developer support. Adapt code and database branching strategy as necessary in response to the needs of the project at different milestones. Work closely with operations staff as applications transition from development environments into controlled formal test and production environments and generate appropriate release artifacts. Develop and manage systems of recovery for the code sources of the current and previous versions of software artifacts. Assist in the development, analysis and maintenance of tools that support and automate processes for software product releases. Assist engineers in the setup and configuration of their local development environments. Qualifications: * Self motivated and collaborative IT Professional with a strong background in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and familiarity with the Agile development methodology (such as Scrum, sprints, product backlog, etc.). * Ideal candidate should have some familiarity with the following tools: Maven, Ant/Nant, Rational Team Concert (RTC),Weblogic/WLST, Javascript, Hudson, Apache, Subversion, J2EE, Nexus, Eclipse, IntelliJ, etc. *Candidate must be a US Citizen and have the ability to gain a security clearance. *Associates or B.S Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience required. * 1+ years experience in software development * 1+ with version control/software configuration management tools (such as ClearCase, Subversion, Git, etc.). * Experience or knowledge of continuous integration, application lifecycle management and automation and job scheduling systems. * Experience with process automation using scripting languages. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with developers, QA teams, and functional managers
