APPLICATION SUPPORT ENGINEER

This Application Support Engineer is responsible for ensuring that our technology assets are on-boarded excellently. The Application Support Engineer will interact with a wide array of end users throughout the company. To be successful in this role, the Application Support Engineer will take responsibility for on-boarding a large number of technology assets of varying levels of complexity and business criticality while improving and implementing support engineering best practices and processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Onboarding new services or applications from the development team
* Improving support engineering procedures and raising the bar for how we onboard applications.
* Improve supportability of existing software assets, bringing them to higher supportability standards

REQUIREMENTS:
We are looking for a person who:
* Has 3+ years of total experience in support or application development, ideally in an enterprise environment
* Has knowledge of support engineering best practices, with experience following these practices in a 24 x 7 support function
* Is a quick, analytical thinker, and excellent problem solver under pressure; can diagnose and reverse-engineer a technical situation rapidly within a chaotic environment
* Can communicate clearly and excellently with a wide variety of people / functions and in a wide variety of formats (verbally, in writing, etc.)
* Has extremely high standards and a maniacally low threshold for errors, bad processes, etc.

Preferred candidates would also meet the following criteria:
* Experience in an enterprise technology environment; familiar with ITIL standards and practices
* Leadership skills, such as interviewing, mentoring, or guiding a small team
* Experience in a C#/.Net environment; ideally can code in C#
* Experience with SQL Server
* Experience with Agile development practices
* Degree in Computer Science or Engineering from one of the nation*s top universities
