Senior SharePoint Administrator / Team Lead

Primary Responsibilities: * Chief architect and administrator for SharePoint Operations and Maintenance team in support of large client. * Technical lead on project working with Project Manager and heavily involved in client interface, and communications. * Leading team of architects through troubleshooting and support issues * Implementing operations and maintenance processes and best practices * Architecting and implementing enterprise level environments up to 40,000 users and 40 TB of data. * Web application creation and maintenance o Experience with host named web applications o Load Balanced URL web applications o IIS Security and performance tuning * MOSS services o Implementing and configuring Shared Service Providers for large, enterprise level farms o Troubleshooting service errors across all services including but not limited to Windows SharePoint Services Search, Office SharePoint Server Search, OWSTIMER, w3wp.exe, Document Conversion / Launcher, Excel Services, InfoPath Forms Services, Business Data Catalog * Solution Deployment o Deploy and troubleshoot both custom and third party solution deployments for large farms with multiple web front ends. * Implementing alternate Authentication Providers o Forms Based Authentication
Required Skills (Years of Experience): * 5+ Years SharePoint 2007 Support and Maintenance Required, including a detailed understanding of: o SharePoint Application Management & 61607; Alternate Access Mapping & 61607; Multi Terabyte Data Stores & 61607; IIS 6.0+ configuration and Performance Tuning & 61607; Certificate Management and deployment & 61607; Authentication Providers o SharePoint Operations & 61607; Farm Topologies and their appropriate use & 61607; Service distribution and tuning for performance & 61607; Strong Experience with the Timer process and how to interact with it. & 61607; Extensive understanding of STSADM command, PowerShell scripting and other common toolsets. o Shared Service Provider & 61607; Search (Crawls, Scopes, exclusion, 3rd party Ifilters, etc.) & 61607; User Profiles (Multiple domain processing and customization) & 61607; BDC & 61607; Excel Services o Ability to quickly build out a SharePoint Farm. o Problem Identification and Resolution in Large Farm environments. o Ability to deploy and effectively manage 3rd Party and Custom Solutions.
* 8+ Years IT Infrastructure Support and Maintenance experience (Preferably in consulting environments) including a detailed understanding of: o SANs, o Networks (topologies, switches, routers, firewalls, NLBs, etc) o Windows 2003+ Server o Microsoft Clusters o Active Directory (Authentication Models, etc
* 3+ Years Support and Maintenance team lead experience as primary business / client interface
Nice to Haves:
* Certifications in SharePoint, Windows, or other Microsoft technologies
* 5+ Years of SQL Server 2005+ Support o Understanding of Replication Models o Understanding of Performance Tuning o Understanding of Storage System Tuning for Relational Databases
* CAC Authentication experience with MOSS
Additional job/client/candidate information:
Candidate must be local and able to work from Chicago office up to 5 days per week, during normal working hours. Occasional off-hours and weekend work. Candidates need to be naturalized or US-born citizens. Candidate also needs to be able to pass Department of Defense secret level security clearance.
